Sign up to be a Classroom Volunteer in 2009-10...
As a Junior Achievement volunteer, you can help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to make money, how to create jobs and how to think like an entrepreneur in the workplace. With the JA curriculum, you’ll transform classroom lessons into a message that inspires and empowers students to believe in themselves, showing them they can make a difference in the world!
Everything you will need is provided for you and the lessons are very easy to follow! Junior Achievement will train you on the materials. The elementary curriculum consists of 5 lessons that will take between 30-40 minutes each visit. The 6 middle school lessons last 45 minutes each. Most JA volunteers prefer to visit their class weekly but the schedule is up to JA volunteer and their teacher.
